MINDFUL MEDITATION AND SALT THERAPY

Have you ever explored what mindful meditation can do for you? The theory behind this form of beneficial meditation is that you can achieve a better center within yourself, if you can practice this philosophy on a daily basis. It only takes a little bit of time each day. Plus you can truly practice this wherever you go. Mindful meditation can reduce your stress level, decrease cortisol levels in the body, and make your thoughts clearer.

The Creator Of Modern Meditation

The Western incarnation of mindful meditation was introduced by Jon Kabat-Zinn. He is the professor of “Medicine Emeritus” at the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. You can easily see from his high level positions that he is at the forefront of the modern meditation movement. The way he discovered meditation was from a Zen missionary speaker, when Dr. Kabat-Zinn was himself a student at MIT, getting a PHD in molecular biology.

Salt Therapy and Meditation

Halotherapy or salt therapy is a type of treatment that works very well with mindful meditation. In fact, at the Salt Suite our therapy rooms that are salt infused are perfectly suited to sitting quietly with your thoughts. You can easily practice some guided meditation quietly while you breathe in the salty air. So not only are you working on improving your respiratory health, allergies, and skin issues, you are tackling problems within your mental state. It’s a two fold approach to total wellness.

Our Salt Rooms Are Geared Towards Relaxation

Healing halotherapy rooms at the Salt Suite are comfort defined. You’ll sit back in a nice cozy chair in calm peace for the duration of your 45 minute session. If you have a digital guided meditation piece to listen to on your smartphone or tablet with some headphones, people enjoy this as well. Or you can just be at one with your own thoughts in deep or light meditation. It’s all up to you how you use your time while you breathe in the beneficial salt air during your treatment time. You might find that mindful meditation while in the salt rooms gives you a whole new outlook on wellness.

“During a typical adult session customers put their feet up in a comfortable leather chair rest or read and breathe in a dry salt aerosol. The micro particles are blown in the air by halo generators. In our separate children’s room kids play in a big sand box except with salt on the walls and floor and play while breathing in the dry salt air.”
